And this was their response:
Carol, only members who held Lifetime status prior to the announcement of our new loyalty program on 8/18/2018 were eligible to have their status raised. Lifetime Silver Elite members remained the same, Lifetime Gold Elite members were elevated to Lifetime Platinum Elite status, and Lifetime Platinum Elite members were elevated to Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. Members who achieve a Lifetime Tier under the previous requirements for that Tier before the end of the year will not be elevated. The only exception is that members who achieve Lifetime Platinum Elite status prior to the end of the year will be grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status. Thank you. Legacy (old) Criteria (members can achieve legacy criteria through 12/31/2018) = Lifetime Gold: 500 nights + 1.6 million points, 50 nights per year and Lifetime Platinum: 750 nights + 2 million points, 75 nights per year. The new criteria (post August 2018) = Gold Lifetime Elite: 400 nights + 7 years Gold Elite Status or higher, Platinum Lifetime Elite: 600 nights + 10 years Platinum Elite Status or higher, and Platinum Premier Lifetime Elite (can only be earned in 2018): 750 nights + 10 years Platinum Elite Status. Members who previously earned Lifetime Status prior to 8/18/2018 will be converted to the new corresponding Lifetime Status = Lifetime Silver Elite members receive Lifetime Silver Elite status. Lifetime Gold Elite members receive Lifetime Platinum Elite status Lifetime Platinum Elite members are grandfathered into Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite status For more information, please visit: http://members.marriott.com/faq/
The Twitter link and the one provided by communitymanagers Whitney does not state the mapping
It appears that Marriott employees are not aware of the loyalty link and we continue to get the answer that we are not going to become LTP
At a loss!!!!!
