I've been checking out rates for upcoming stays and notice that Four Points are now on the regular Marriott site....no transfer to SPG.
Anyone else notice SPG brands other than Four Points being pulled over to the Mother Ship?
Tribute Portfolio properties have migrated over, too!
I have an existing Tribute reservation with a purple banner that says “Please note – Heads up: your original confirmation number of 68258xxxx has changed to the new number below.”
The new confirmation number is 842xxxxx
This is good news. This means flexible date search is right around the corner for SPG properties.
Outstanding news, painedplatinum and platpboy4ever. I've been waiting for this to (begin to) happen! C
Wow, you seem to be on to something painedplatinum. Just checked a couple of reservations, one Westin, a W and Marriott and all come up with a brand new look.....Marriott Aruba has this
at the top of the hotel site (all on one line though) which I've not seen previously.
Yes all the brands are there including all SPG properties. Very easy to compare and explore. Plus when you merge the accounts you will be able to see all the reservarions including the ones you previously did in SPG or Marriott. Both apps and web sites are showing the same.
Sheraton has been pulled over now...
My stuff is back to the old Marriott style and SPG properties are also back in the SPG format not Marriott.
Last night I also noticed Sheraton was pulled over.....I wonder if they stay after they first appear or go back and forth for a while?
Once existing bookings are converted you get an 8-digit Marriott confirmation number. I’d be surprised if those reverted back
When I just viewed the details of an upcoming Westin stay and the URL has www.starwood in it while my future RI reservation has Marriott listed in the URL.
Right, but what I’m talking about is my Tribute Portfolio booking had a 9-digit SPG confirmation number, but the reservation changed format to look like a Marriott reservation with an alert that my confirmation number changed to an 8-digit Marriott format.
Same with Sheraton Maui over the weekend.
Luxury Collection & W hotels have made the transition!
