How do we find out when and how our elite nights were earned?

We are hoping to reach lifetime platinum premier by year's end.  Got the points, but are short many nights.  Have a few trips planned to help earn the nights, plus a meeting and credit card spending.  But it will be close.  We're trying to determine how much time to allow for the elite nights to be deposited to ensure we get them in time.  Our current total has been the same for a month, however we thought we should have earned some from credit card spending in that time frame.  Is there anywhere we can actually view this info online?   We see the Nights Detail online, but wouldn't it be nice to see the actual date and type of activity that earned the elite night on our Activity page so that we can monitor the total for inaccuracies?

 

We called the platinum elite line yesterday to inquire.  Didn't go well.  The rep argued that none of our award stays count toward elite night totals.  This was actually the 3rd time in 2 days, we've been told this.  Suggested they read the Loyalty FAQ page which clearly states otherwise.  After being on hold for 20 minutes, the rep agreed that award stays do count.  Then we waited 20 more minutes while she researched our account.  She said that we were missing 6 nights and would add them.  We thought it was great news.  Then this morning we log in only to see that we now have 1 less elite night than before we called!

 

For something so critical to determining elite status, it seems unfair for members to not know when these elite nights posted or will post, especially in regards to credit card spending.  Any suggestions for tracking this info down?
