So after the NY Times article, I realized that I should look into Marriott socks-but alas there are none! We received wonderful gifts at Tipple-some of which were confusing without discussion and "googling" about function. I also noticed these items are nice to have but not visible to a larger audience than housekeeping staff, TSA, etc. Some of the more visible items like a Marriott phone thingy isnt something I would use. From a marketing perspective, how about send some of the Insiders Marriott polos, t-shirts, socks, hair ties, travel bags? You know we would proudly sport them. It would be an easy and relatively cheap marketing trick.
