Hello, I have a personal Marriott Visa card and was thinking about applying for a business one as well. Will the rewards go to the same account or will I have to have two different rewards points balances ?
firstname.lastname@example.org The SPG/AMEX Business Credit Card is offering a sign-up bonus of 35,000 Starpoints right now.
That's a whopping 105,000 Marriott Reward points vs 75,000 Bonus points that Chase is current offering
They will, provided you link it to your current account.
Bear in mind, some folks have been put through the gauntlet during the application process -- I had to call and verify it was me.
If you're nearing the Chase 5/24, it could be worth waiting until the new cards come out. If not, it may be a great time to capitalize on this.
Interesting I just applied online for it and they said they would send me a response in the mail within 30 days !? Sounds like I got denied IDK. Personal credit is fine but it's a new business so that maybe the case.
I ran into something similar when I recently applied for a Chase credit card. Turns out I forgot that I had placed a freeze on my credit and the bank was unable to check my report. I used my pin number to temporarily lift the freeze so I could get approved. If you remember placing a credit freeze, that could be it.
No, not necessarily a denial - call the Chase Business Reconsideration Line: 800-453-9719, they probably want to verify things about the business before making a decision. Call them and say that your card approval is in a 'pending' state, so you are calling to find out if more information is needed. Then, be prepared to answer whatever questions they may have.
Hey leef, The Marriott Rewards Business Visa does not count toward 5/24 (neither does the SPG Business AMEX btw), so you could apply for both, and attempt to apply for the new cards as well when they come out.
o0o0o0o0o0o...points! already have them both, thanks!
If you do not have any other business cards, you might have to go through an account change with Chase and switch to business. Then you can add personal cards to that new account and they will all go into the same pool. As far as Marriott points, I did not see any difference when I switched from personal MR to a business MR card.
