The 'mothballed' Fountainbleu (since 2009) received new life and ownership in December 2017. Now, it has been released this property will become a J.W. Marriott. While this is not the best location on the Strip, the new life that includes Resorts World (on the west side) and The Drew (formally Fountainblue) will undoubtedly change the landscape towards the north end in 2020.
Keep in mind, the LV Convention Center is expanding just to it's south (includes the old Rivera H/C site)
