Not receiving points for stay

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have just completed a 30 day stay, and after being told at front desk at check-in that my stay would be earning points, after I am now being told since my company booked at a corporate rate, no rewards are earned.

I feel that is deceptive, since I would have gone elsewhere after 1st night.
