Is anyone else experiencing the Marriott app crashing on their Android device? Mine worked fine yesterday and now it crashes when you open it.
Did a new update come out?
I am not sure. There was an update for the Android OS last week.
Check to see if there is an update for the Marriott app.
I am guessing you did the whole turn off the phone, turn back on so all apps are closed. My apps crash when I have too much running in the background. If you have twitter, you can ask Marriott what is up. Usually that helps me and them to know there is an issue.
I have the same issue.
My app started crashing yesterday, everytime I tried to select or input anything iy crashes.
Worked fine before aside from some sporstic issues. My android OS updated the day before... thinking the two things are related.
The app has been crashing on my Samsung S7 since yesterday (December 16th) every time I click on Account Activity.communitymanagers
Same phone, no problems. UPDATE! no crash when reserving, but crashes constantly when checking recent point activity!
1. phone bottom menu button, "close all"
2. settings, device maintenance, "optimize now" (samsung)
3. power button, restart. (weekly if you can't pull battery)
"optimize now" is also a one touch widget for home screen!
reinstall app if all else fails.
crapcleaner (CCleaner) app helps free up space bigly. it's lighter and smaller than clean master.
sophos security eliminates possible conflicting spyware and is light and small. Don't need big name space hog.
cyber ghost free VPN for public wifi is light and powerful.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have informed our team and they have let us know they are working on it! We’ll let you know if we receive any further updates. ☺
app update worked! no more crashy!
Yes, Marriott app crashes 100% of the time on my Android. Running version 7.1.1 on a Moto Z2.
Check how much RAM you have. Not the 32GB storage, but internal memory. Usually 2-4GB, My old Motorola G4 only had 2 GB and it was killing apps often for lack of RAM. Upped to a 3GB phone and that has helped as Android 7 is a memory hog (took 1.6 GB off the top)
thanks good thought nipper. I have 4GB RAM and monster processor. No other apps crash. seems to be a compatibility issue
Yea not a handset issue..... :-)
