Does anyone have any experience with any of the SPG properties In Bangkok?
Le Meridien, St. Regis, W, The Westin
Here's a good thread from the FlyerTalk Starwood forum;
Bangkok: Which SPG hotel should I choose? [Master Thread] - Page 134 - FlyerTalk Forums
I stayed at the St. Regis Bangkok last November for 3 nights and ABSOLUTELY LOVED the hotel! It is absolutely beautiful and is in a great location. The train stop is connected to the hotel (2nd floor) so it makes getting around the city very easy. The rooms are elegant and as a Platinum guest, I was given 2 free breakfast buffet vouchers and my own personal butler! The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had, with Thai, Japanese (sushi), American food selections. It was awesome!! The butler was available to bring coffees and cookies to us whenever we dialed him/her. I would order a cappuccino and a latte and then a second round an hour later. It was wonderful being pampered! Rooms are spacious, clean and very elegant modern. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again next time I travel to Bangkok.
Lauriet, do they have a concierge lounge? I'm assuming they do because it's a St. Regis but I want to be sure. Thanks
The St. Regis Bangkok does NOT have a concierge lounge but the awesome breakfast and butler service for coffees, teas, etc are wonderful!
The W is a trendy, contemporary and fashionable property. If you like to see and be seen that's the place to go, maybe not if you are looking for quite and discreet spot in the bustling city..
The W was amazing when I was there 3 years ago or so.
