I cancelled a points stay in Houston due to hurricane Harvey, but I haven't seen my points come back. Shouldn't I get the points back?
When I cancel points stays I see them right away back in my account. Did you cancel online?
They should always recredit straight away. The only time they didn't with me I called the Plat line and they found that although I'd cancelled the stay, the e-certificate "containing" the points hadn't been cancelled. The e-cert was literally hanging in the ether, along with my 160,000 points! The rep advised she'd seen it only a couple of times before, and in a few mimutes the points were returned to my account. So call the Marriott Rewards helpline.
Maybe all the points have been blown up by Harvey?...

I haven't seen the points. I'm assuming (I can't really tell now that the cancellation has been processed) you can see the reservation details. I was staying in Sugarland TX last weekend.
