Cannot say enough good things about this newly remodeled property - definitely, this is our best stay ever in Bangkok. We are so impressed with this in-a-garden-setting hotel that we extended our 7-night stay to 16 nights and we canceled our 4-nights planned trip to Chiang Mai just to remain here and enjoy the place. We moved our kids and their Grandmother from an adjacent property on day 8 and they stayed with us at this property for the final 9 nights.

Location: At Sukhumvit 22 with another back entry through Benjasiri Park into their lobby restaurant, Goji Kitchen + Bar. Closest BTS station Phrom Phong placing the entire city at your fingertips. Hotel offers complimentary transportation to the BTS station in a cute Tuk-Tuk. The Dinosaur Park is just short walking distance. The immediate area also has many restaurants and shopping venues such as EmQuartier and the Emporium (EM District) served by the same complimentary tuk-tuk. To sum it up, the location is excellent.

Check-in, Reception & Lobby: Recognized promptly as a Marriott loyalty program member by the cheerful front desk clerk and immediately taken up to the executive lounge on the 27th floor for exclusive check in. It was in the afternoon and they served me teatime goodies and beverage while signing the paperwork. Upgraded to a M-suite for a comfortable stay. A nice welcome gift was awaiting us in the room. The ground floor lobby is Grand with new furnishings, glittery columns, giant chandeliers, and wonderful staff that manned the Lobby Lounge and Siam Tea Room. Very Good!

Room: As mentioned, upgraded to 775 sqft M-Suite on the 31st floor with city view overlooking the Dinosaur Park. Very good size with floor to ceiling windows filled the suite with welcomed brightness. Modern and well appointed with elegant Thai design and the King's love poem scripted on the wall. Room also contained office desk, mini bar fridge, espresso coffee maker, and all needed modern comforts. Living room and bedroom were separate with wall and door in between. The elongated bathroom was vast with separate shower and bathtub. Fancy toiletries and giant soft towels were replenished daily and generously. Room contained plenty of plugs to charge our electronics - WIFI worked flawlessly without any hiccups.

Food & dining: We partook daily buffet-style breakfast at Goji Kitchen on the ground floor. Breakfast was so amazing here that we will do a separate review for this outlet. Comped breakfast, teatime, happy-hour, and desserts time at the M-Lounge. Lounge operated 6 AM to midnight and offered snacks and beverages throughout the day. Excellent service provided by all staff members at the lounge. Siam Tea Room offered delicious Thai food and bakery style goodies. The service was great especially by Khum Atom but the manager was over-doing it bragging about himself intruding on our family time.

Pool & Gym: The huge pool on the 9th floor offering extensive views over Benjasiri park. Gym is full of modern equipment for the jocks and others to keep in shape while staying here. They even have their own Racquetball court inside the gym! One issue we had with the pool bar staff that I hope management will address.

Staff & Service: This is what sets this property apart from others in Bangkok. Amazing service provided here that is professional yet friendly - the training shows at every level with every staff member from housekeeping to porters to lounge attendants. Seems like management has invested so much in the staff and their training. Many seem familiar to us from other Bangkok properties as we are regular visitors to Thailand. All were excellent and too many to mention in this limited space. But we would like to recognize Ms. Kate the lobby manager, Khun Oil, and their manager Khun Nou who would periodically check on us to make sure that our stay was a comfortable one. Mr. Dieter also provided excellent service. We even met the GM as he was greeting and interacting with his guests in the Grand lobby floor - a true sign of 5-star hospitality.

Overall, we highly recommend this property for the amenities, location, and the excellent service provided by the pleasant staff. This is a truly 5-star full service luxury property and an excellent choice for any Bangkok visitor.
