What is the qualified criterial for platinum premier member?
Specifically, what is the nights required/ the dollar consumption?
I've made platinum premier 4 times and I've been platinum premier for the last couple of years. I don't think there is a specific criteria, but what I heard is that its basically the top 3% of Marriott customers. Not sure whether there is a dollar consumption, but I can tell you that from other posts that I've read and from my own experience, is that you need around 120 nights per year. Last year, I had around 140 nights, 97 of which were paid nights and the rest were bonus ones. My guess is that they also take into account dollar consumption and when you stay that many nights, then you can imagine that you will easily hit over $10k in one year.
I spent over 29K back in 2001 in just room rates.
750 nights stayed and 2 million MR points accumulated. I made life time platinum and platinum premier this year.
rufrt12 is correct, but there is one more criteria - typically, you must have been platinum at least 2 years prior to getting platinum premier. There is a spend component, also. By and large, 140-150 paid nights will get PP status.
