I am looking at going to Niagara Falls for a family vaca. I see that there are options at the falls for entertainment. Is there enough entertainment for 3days or are there things to do away from the falls too that I could do in 3days?
ilmk0801, The falls themselves are pretty amazing, the rest of Niagara Falls is touristy and some a bit on the seedy side. Niagara should be on everyone's bucket list. A few pointers from someone who lives nearby and goes there pretty often.
Remember you are coming into Canada, and you have to have all the right papers, and there are some restrictions on what you can bring in and what you can take back. Check before you come in.
Further to what i have written, there are a number of other posts on here on Niagara.
Thank you! Thank you! This is SO helpful! Sounds like there's tons to do. Wouldn't mind showing an educational place too, nice add on. Thank you! Oh the vineyards sound so good to me and my husband...wonder if I can talk the kids into that
Thank you again!
I recommend checking out the butterfly gardens. If your kids are younger, they'll love it.
I did not see this on their website. Thank you! I'm sure my kids will love it!
Thank you for this! My kids did something similar in Florida so I'm sure it'll be a hit
3 Days in the Niagara area - yes, I could do that. There's plenty to do, through the falls, behind the falls, being dazzled by the falls, the plethora of touristy stuff, the history, Niagara-on-the-lake. It's all on the Canadian side though, don't try cheaping out in the US side!
As already stated, the CY is pretty central and thiough lacking a Falls view dones make that up with very reasonable prices. If you can splash the cash though the Marriott Fallsview in a high floor Fallsview room is amazing! We were there with the teens for 2 nights and repeatedly caught them all just staring out the window, mesmerised!
Quite a few have said that I should go to the Canadian side now. I'm picking up the hint lol! I'll have to look into that more too. Thank you for the info! I will definitely look into the Marriott Fallsview and on a higher floor. If it can memorize teens, I'm sure that my 10 and 5yr old will love it Thank you again!
Keep in mind that with the relative strength of the US and Canadian dollars, that costs are lower on the Canadian side.
Did not think of that! Thank you!
