Any suggestions for staying in Palm Desert CA , April 12-18, 2017, for a Platinum Premier Member?
(See if anyone can find a room no matter what their status)
We stay in Palm Desert at least two to three times per year. We have stayed in the Residence Inn, which has been good until our last two times there. The pool KILLED my kids' eyes! It was HORRIBLE!!! It is also a filthy pool deck with broken tiles and sunscreen/skin oil filth at the water level of the pool. However, besides the pool, it was an OK stay. The pool was a killer for our family and we have not been back.
I have also stayed one night at the Renaissance. It is a nice hotel! It is in Palm Springs however.
Our absolute FAVORITE place is the Desert Springs Villas II! The one bedroom villa is HUGE!
We also stayed at the Enclaves. It too is a nice place, but not to the level of the DSV II!
I am a gold status guest, and it doesn't apply to the DSVII or the Enclaves. Your status will be recognized at the Residence Inn and Renaissance.
Also check out the Westin Desert Willows. It is a wonderful place (SPG Property). We also stayed at the other Westin in Rancho Mirage. It was nice, but not nearly as nice as the Westin Desert Willows.
Hope this is helpful.
davidriley. I think part of the issue is that all the rooms are full
TRy breaking the reservation up into two stays at different places.
ALternatively as Platinium you have guaranteed acomodations so you can call
MMarriott or the hotel and let them know you want to use that benefit.
I've never used it but from wht I understand, rates can be very high
CHecking out SPG as David mentioned is also a good idea.
