TinHowdy all.

Just spent 4 nights at this hotel in Hong Kong suburb called Sha Tin. The hotel is very nice, friendly and courteous staff. great view of mountains, river and skyline)

Excellent 'concierge lounge' with alcohol, evening hors d'ourves, and a good breakfast selection with both Asian and American flair.

They offer a FREE shuttle to/from Kowloon (basically downtown Hong Kong) and drops you off at the MTR so easy access to everywhere (actually the Peninsula Hotel - very nice too!). Anyway, for a third of the rack rate in Kowloon or Island side, this is a very good option to save money for a slight inconvenience. The shuttle is about 30' long or a taxi around $15USD. Taxi to/from HKG runs around $35USD or take the 41P bus (at airport)  and drops you off right in front of the hotel for around $4!

There are some excellent restaurants nearby including a the floating Star Seafood restaurant on the river about 5' away by foot...great promenade walking all along the river front and a MTR station less than 5' away.

Only downside was I did have some WiFi issues with my laptop and none with my Android (dropping).

I would recommend this place and I would stay here again just to save the money. Huge lobby, good restaurant on floor 2 (MOJOs), comfortable and spacious rooms, $$ exchange, etc.
