I showed up at the Lafayette Courtyard a little after 4pm. I asked the lady at the front desk if the app worked as I didn't get notice that my room was ready. Well sho nuff...it was not ready. She moved me in a room on the 1st floor that was ready.
I asked how the renovation was going and she said it was complete. I booked this room in Feb while things were being worked on for an amazing rate of 63.20! I have 3 more stays here at this rate. I am glad I booked when I did b/c now the rates are higher.
Anything over $100 is too much for a local stay when trying to get this challenge done before double tipple.
Right so... the room was nice upon initial inspection...
Double bed had a lower rate. I was given a feather bed and pillows....
Faucet knob was ancient!!! They clearly didn't replace it.
Standard closet for the most part. Full length mirror on the inside of the closet door.
Now for the bad.... When I go back for my next check, I am going to tell them they need to shut down room 102! until this can be removed!
Mold and water stains on the ceiling!
Really and reno is done??? I don't think so.... at least I hope not.
EDIT: I called them this morning to tell them of the issue and the lady said she was going to turn this info over to management.
