This is a brand new SHS on the northern edge of Chattanooga. Very pleased with my stay here. I have barely staid at SHS mostly sticking with the implied higher tier CY but this one has made me rethink that. This location has a full service restaurant/bar serving a variety of made to order food including gourmet burgers, pizza, and local brews. The hotel also offers the SHS breakfast bowl free breakfast which I found good for the most part. I'm not sure if the in house restaurant is a new SHS concept or unique to this hotel but I think it would be wise for SHS to go this route though I think that would further devalue the place of CY in the Marriott brand.
The suite is laid out with a pretty comfortable couch and ottoman, a working desk and a translucent partition to screen off the bedroom. The TV is attached to wall and swivel mount between the living room and bed room. There is a microwave and mini fridge in the room but no stove top. The bathroom is a long walk in room with full size shower and glass walls. The bed I though was comfortable for the 3 nights I was there. The interstate is pretty much out the window and could be heard but with the AC running it was not noticeable at least for me to fall asleep.
The immediate area around the hotel is not very walk-able, no sidewalk currently exists on Old Lee Hwy but there is a lot of development going on so that may get better. A Zaxby's is reasonably close to be walked to but otherwise you will probably need to drive. Ooletewah seems to be on the rise as nice suburb and there is a good assortment of restaurants nearby; notably the Puleo's and several in the new city center development a mile away.
Overall I'm very impressed with this location. I feel they have exceeded their business class roots by far. I will definitely be using this location in the future as it is convenient to one of my biannual stops in Chattanooga.
