Loved the service you received on your last hotel stay? Nominate an associate for a Spirit to Serve award. You’ll be recognizing them for demonstrating J. Willard Marriott's saying, "If you take care of your associates, they will take care of the customer, and the customer will keep coming back." Winners receive a customized certificate signed by Bill Marriott and Arne Sorenson.

|How will associates know when they’ve been selected to receive the award?||Associates that are selected for the Spirit to Serve Award will receive a certificate with a gold bar seal and a personalized letter signed by Mr. Marriott. The associate’s manager will present the certificate with a short speech, citing the associate’s contribution to guest service.|
|Will every nominated associate receive a Spirit to Serve Award?||No, ultimately the associate’s manager has the final say as to whether they will receive the award.|
|Can associates receive multiple Spirit to Serve Awards?||Absolutely! Associates can receive an additional four gold bar seals for a single certificate and a new certificate will be awarded for any future awards.|
|What Marriot associates are eligible for nominations?||All managed, franchise and international associates (with the exception of Ritz-Carlton) are eligible to receive The Spirit to Serve Award.|
